Gone. The biggest flop in DCU history $ for $, and that's on the front office, not Gallardo, who was an old broken whore out to turn one last trick before United signed him. Nothing will convince me ownership and management did due diligence on Gallardo before signing him in a snap uh-oh reaction to being spurned by Veron.
I don't question DCU's ownership's and front office's motivations. I've said before we are lucky to have a team that aspires to greatness. But the front office's judgment? Let's see what they do with the money saved by Gallardo's goodbye.
Fullback is less than enthused re: reacquiring Gomez, though I'm not convinced as he is Fred can play withdrawn, much less 10. Stoller plots options, daydreams of signing Olney's Oguchi Onyewu. DCenters seems to be dead.
My prediction: DCU will eventually bring back Gomez, but only after low-balling him on salary and subsequent bitter negotiations that keep him out of training long enough that he'll be fat and unfit at season start and consequently pull a hamstring so severely it renders him useless the entire season. Meh.
