High-Mindedness

Josh Marshall calls bullshit on those of us who've sworn to allow John McCrotchedy's moldering corpse win the election rather than vote for Obama if a Hillary supporter or, as I said a few days ago, visa versa. He then posts a letter from a still guilt-ridden reader who "was one of the pure in heart who in 1968 could not bring myself to vote for Humphrey and voted for Cleaver instead," and that elections "should not be psycho-dramas conducted to allow people to demonstrate their high-mindedness," to which I say fuck you, I've got you're high-mindedness.

Here's the inside of a tunnel suspended five stories above the atrium of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art:

I still think there's a better to quarter-chance the nominees for both parties on election day are still to be known. McCrotchedy is a walking infarction, and our Democratic overlords, if the two fucks in the running continue to degrade the brand to the point people would rather eat generic spam than spam in a blue can, may tell Jeebus and The Hillary to go swivel on their thumbs in the Senate. Christ, Al Gore may still be elected president.

But it is The Hillary whose singular goal is to demonstrate to rank-and-file donkeys that Obama is in fact just as despicably shitty as she, and to Obama's discredit, instead of proving her wrong he works to prove her shittier, which disqualifies Obama as intellectual and course-changer, as The Hillary's shittiness, as existential fact, is beyond dispute or demonstration.

High-mindedness? How about I vote for neither because neither deserve it, even if one doesn't deserve it more?
