Great goals! Shitty music!

Via the excellent Climbing the Ladder, a good compilation of their choice of United's ten best goals this season, accompanied by truly shitty music:

Goff's Post article today on injury status of Emilio and Moreno:

Soehn did not allow reporters to observe the meaningful portion of yesterday's workout, but judging from his comments and those of other players, Moreno seems likely to start while Emilio's prospects are a little less certain.

I wouldn't start either. I wouldn't use either as long as grinding works in the first half, and maybe try bring one or both in in the 2nd half if it looks like a goal could be stolen.

Here's a curious line from Goff:

No one associated with United has been able to explain why the club has had such a fitful time against Chicago in the playoffs.

Ooh! Ooh! Mistair Kottair! Mistair Kottair! Ooh! Ooh! Is it because in playoffs the refs allow more dirty cheating, and Chicago is already the dirtiest, cheatingest team in the league to start?

I can't find info on who the ref's going to be, and it's impossible to form a coherent and totally inaccurate god-taunt until I know if United's going to be Okalaja-ed or Terry Fucking Vaughned, because if either of those two are the ref, the depths of dirty cheating plumbed before by Chicago will seem cub scout by comparison. (My fever must have started last Saturday night - I swear, I hallucinated a soccer game fairly and professionally refereed by Terry Fucking Vaughn. Trippy.)

But god-taunt I've got, fluctuating though it is, which I'll keep to myself in a god-taunt to god-taunting.

UPDATE:

Get the hell out of United's stadium, including the parking lots.

Though this is both reminder and harbinger: DCU stadium plans are back-burnered for many reasons, not the least of which are the known and yet-to-be-known fall-outs from the District's hand-jobbing the Lerners.

THURSDAY UPDATE THURSDAY:

Ref is Baldomero Toledo. Could be better, could be far worse.

Here's today's Post pre-game article.

Goff has this tease at his blog:

I am also checking on two rumors with major implications for the DCU ballclub. At the moment, they are just rumors. As soon as I know more, I will share them with you. Be patient. Might be a while.

Damn reporters. Tease? What don't they understand about blogger ethics?

And D  reports from the midlands.
